We've identified 2 multi-minute periods (19:17 UTC and 19:27 UTC) which resulted in 500 errors when serving customer status pages due to a flood of traffic combining with an issue in our cache invalidation logic. In each case the underlying problem auto-resolved within 3-4 minutes as our caching recovered.

The sudden increase in resulting traffic to metastatuspage.com separately caused a number of 500 errors there as well.

We are monitoring both cases closely.
